203 Broadway Ave. North Buhl, ID 83316 Phone: 208.543.5650 - Fax: 208.543.2884 Greetings,
It has been an honor to serve the community I was born and raised in. Buhl, Idaho, has provided my family and I with a very blessed life. It has been my hope, with the foundation our predecessors laid, to carry on their legacy, success, and passion to serve our community. Giving back to Buhl by advocating for our city, investing in our community's citizens, and continued growth has been my priority. As the former Director of Parks and Recreation for over 14 years with the City of Buhl, I understand management, budgets, and project management. During that time, our department contributed to community improvement projects such as the placement of Milner Park, city trees, and many more meaningful improvements. I also have a background in law enforcement, fire, and EMS services. That experience has given me not only an understanding, but an appreciation and respect for the First Responders and law enforcement officers who serve our city. I have also served as the West End Senior Center's Board of Director's President for approximately five years and on my church's Board of Elders. With my beautiful wife of 43 years and the support of our two daughters, it has given me tremendous pride serving Buhl as a council member. I have learned and grown with you since my election in 2019. My first term has been thoroughly valued; and with the experience and education achieved from it, I hope to continue my tenure with you. “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Phil. 1:6 |

203 Broadway Ave. North Buhl, ID 83316 Phone: 208.543.5650 - Fax: 208.543.2884 Hello, my name is Marla Sisson, and I am running for Buhl City Council. For those that don’t know me, let me introduce myself. I graduated magna cum laude in 2007, from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in teaching. Very soon after graduating, I moved to Boise to teach in the public schools. In 2016, I met the love of my life, RC Sisson, and have two wonderful children together, Warren and Willa. Though we were living in Boise, we found ourselves visiting family in Buhl more often. When our oldest was only a few months old, we decided the best place to raise our family was in Buhl to be closer to grandparents, Warren and Audrey Sisson, and parents, Mary and Terry Sisson. As soon as we moved, my husband started Sisson Accounting in Buhl. That opportunity allowed me to stay home with our children. Now that they are older, I help more with our growing family business. We feel so fortunate to live in community of history. Our son attends Popplewell Elementary, where he has made friendships that connect back to his parents, grandparents, and beyond. It is because of these experiences I also feel very connected to our community and enjoy being an active member.
I have served for two years on the council and strive to work together to continue to make Buhl a place to be proud of. I have been a rational, conservative voice for our town and carry no political agenda. I advocate for smart planning and most importantly, fiscal responsibility. I enjoy being an active member of our community and believe it is vital to have the input of its citizens. I would be honored to have your vote on November 7th. Community Involved Includes:
