Marla Sisson - Council President

​Hello, my name is Marla Sisson, and I am your City Council President. I grew up in Michigan and attended Eastern Michigan University. I graduated magna cum laude in 2007, with a bachelor’s degree in teaching. After graduating, I moved to Boise to teach in the public schools. In 2016, I met the love of my life, RC Sisson, and we have two wonderful children together. Though we were living in Boise, we found ourselves visiting family in Buhl more often. When our oldest was only a few months old, we decided Buhl was the best place to raise our family. As soon as we moved, my husband started Sisson Accounting, allowing me to stay home with our children. Now that they are older, I help more with our growing family business. We feel very fortunate to be closer to family and to live in Buhl. Through my experience on the council and my volunteer work, I feel very connected to our community. I enjoy being an active citizen and believe Buhl truly has the best people!
 
I have served on the council for four years and strive to work together to continue making Buhl a place to be proud of. I have been a rational, conservative voice for our town and carry no political agenda. I advocate for smart planning and most importantly, fiscal responsibility. I enjoy being an active member of our community and believe it is vital to have the input of its citizens. I encourage you to attend our meetings in person, or on YouTube, and get involved.

Fred Bartlett - Council Member

Fred Bartlett proudly serves on the Buhl City Council, bringing a strong commitment to community, service, and responsible leadership. Having grown up in Buhl, Fred has deep roots in the community, where much of his family still resides. For the past 13 years, he has coached wrestling and football, mentoring local youth and helping shape the next generation. Fred is dedicated to preserving Buhl’s way of life while supporting safe neighborhoods and thoughtful, responsible growth.
