Buhl - MCCLUSKY Skate Park Closed Until Further Notice
It’s unfortunate to share that McClusky Skate Park has been a repeated target of vandalism, both recently and in the past. Due to this ongoing issue, the park is now closed until further notice. This reckless behavior damages our public spaces and deprives the community of a place to relax and enjoy.
Recent examples of vandalism include:
• Trees being chopped up
• Trash left scattered everywhere
• Concrete structures being damaged
• Fires being set in the park
• Graffiti on park buildings and structures
We’re working to repair the damage, but we need your help to stop this from happening again. If you have any information about the vandalism, please contact the Buhl Police Department at 208-735-1911
Let’s work together to protect and respect our parks so everyone can enjoy them!

Burley Avenue Rebuild Project Update
As of this last winter all the city infrastructure under Burley Avenue has been replaced and/or installed. This work is in preparation for a full rebuild of the road base and asphalt and will include curb, gutter, and sidewalk. This rebuild project is funded through a grant from the federal government and facilitated through the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC). The original funding date was scheduled for 2025 but has been moved up several times but has now been moved back to 2025. The approximate $5.5 million project is majority funded with the federal grant and until that money is released the above ground portion cannot begin. Please contact state congressmen with concerns about the timeline of this funding.

On December 6th a new LED beacon light was installed at the Buhl Municipal Airport. This is a much brighter light than the previous light and is very noticeable when the cloud cover is low. There have been adjustments made to the angle of the beams of light over the last few days to avoid residential conflict. We wanted to make the community aware if you notice the new light in the night sky.
